Derik Hines is a creative entrepreneur who is deeply passionate about the media industry. With a talent for filming and editing, he founded Stories to Savor (STS) in 2017 after being inspired by his work with Oprah Winfrey. STS is a one-stop-shop for small businesses looking to elevate their digital presence through high-quality video content, social media marketing, and web design. Derik and his team bring a unique perspective to every project, crafting custom content that tells each client's story in a visually stunning and engaging way. With his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft, Derik Hines is making waves in the media industry and helping small businesses thrive.

At Stories to Savor, we are honored to partner with Charnice Simmons and Silhouettes of Stilettos to bring the vibrant legacy of steppin’ to life at this extraordinary one-day event in April 2025. This celebration will unite steppers from NYC, LA, and Chicago, showcasing the rich traditions of African American dance and culture through an evening filled with food, fun, fellowship, and unforgettable performances. Our team is committed to delivering a professional, seamless production that captures the energy and essence of this remarkable gathering.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Stories to Savor will provide a full suite of production services to capture and enhance the energy and essence of this one-day event. Our scope includes the use of 2-3 cameras for comprehensive coverage, professional audio and lighting setups to ensure impeccable quality, and creative b-roll filming to capture the event’s vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, we will offer live streaming services to bring the celebration to a wider audience in real time. All raw footage and any agreed-upon edited materials will be delivered promptly, ensuring you have everything needed to showcase the success of this unforgettable event.

The Journey | The Process | The Timeframe

Filming Dates:

The filming date for this one-day celebration will be finalized in collaboration with Charnice Simmons and the event team. Our goal is to ensure all production elements are in place to capture every significant moment seamlessly.

  • A full-day production schedule tailored to the event timeline.

  • Coordination with performers and event staff to ensure smooth transitions and comprehensive coverage.

  • Set-up and testing of equipment (cameras, audio, lighting) prior to the event start.

Final Products:

The final deliverables will vary based on the selected package, allowing flexibility to meet your event’s specific needs:

  • Raw Footage Package: High-quality footage from 1 or multiple cameras, delivered on a 1TB SSD external hard drive.

  • Edited Highlights Package: Professionally edited video showcasing the event’s best moments, including b-roll and key performances.

  • Live Stream Recording Package: A recording of the live stream, formatted for future viewing or sharing.

Completion Timeline:

The timeline for delivering the final product depends on the chosen package:

  • Raw Footage: Delivered within one business day after the event, ensuring quick access to all recorded material.

  • Edited Highlights or Other Add-Ons: A detailed timeline will be provided, typically ranging from 3 - 5 weeks, depending on the scope of editing required.

  • Live Stream Recording: Delivered within 5-7 business days after the event.

Additional Considerations:

To extend the impact of this extraordinary event, we offer our Digital Impact Programs. This platform allows your audience to get excited before the event if you have footage from prior events we could add to your current social media platform and/or savor the memories through recaps, shareable content, and a digital archive of the event. Key features include:

  • Editing videos and/or clips of previous events or news update about your event to have on your social media platform leading up to April

  • Custom Recap Videos: Highlight reels to keep your audience engaged and excited for future events.

  • Photo Galleries and Testimonials: A visually stunning way to preserve and showcase the event's energy and atmosphere.

  • Social Media Optimization: Tailored content to amplify your event’s reach and engagement online.

By leveraging these additional options, Silhouettes of Stilettos can leave a lasting impression and provide attendees with a memorable experience that resonates long after the event concludes.

Consultation: This step involves an initial consultation to discuss Silhouette of Stilettos [SOS] goals and objectives.

Raw Unedited 1 Day Filming | 1 Camera | $950 (Includes 1TB SSD external hard drive for editing purposes)

Raw Unedited 1 Day Filming | 2 Cameras | $1,800 (Includes 1TB SSD external hard drive for editing purposes)

Raw Unedited 1 Day Filming | 3 Cameras | $2,650 (Includes 1TB SSD external hard drive for editing purposes)

1. SOS Premiere Package

  • Price: $4,500 | 2 Camera Shoot 

    • Our most affordable option, ideal for those seeking high-quality raw footage.

      • Coverage with 2 camera for dynamic shots throughout the event.​

      • Professional audio setup for clear sound capture of key moments.

      • Delivery of raw footage on a 1TB SSD external hard drive within 24-48 hours of the event.

2. SOS Signature Package

  • Price: $8,500 | 2 Camera Shoot

    • The Signature Package builds upon the Premiere package with added depth, including:​

      • Lighting setup along with a Sound (Audio) Guy for optimal production quality.

      • Edited highlight video reel (2-4 minutes) featuring the best moments of the event.

3. SOS Ultimate Legacy Package

  • Price: $11,500

    • The Ultimate Legacy Package builds upon the Signature package and it includes:​

      • Coverage with 3 cameras, capturing the event.

      • Comprehensive highlight video reel.

      • Custom Social Media Teaser (15 - 30 seconds) for promotional purposes.

 

4. SOS Pinnacle Experience Package:​

  • Price: $25,000

    • The Pinnacle Experience Package builds upon the Ultimate package and it includes:​

      • A 4th roaming camera to capture elements to create the reel.

      • Live Streaming services to extend the event's reach to online audiences.

      • Highlight Reel of whole event

      • Multiple event recaps

      • Digital Impact Programs integration, including custom recaps, photo galleries, and social media content to extend events visibility.

      • Additional post-event consultation to strategize future event content

NOTE: All packages will include one 1TB SSD Drive for editor. Raw footage will be transferred to this drive each day of shoot to ensure a smooth and quick delivery so that the editor can get a jump start at the editing process.​​

PROJECT TIMELINE

The project timeline for this one-day event is designed to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery. To secure our services, we require 60% of the total package cost upfront, with the remaining balance due one week before the event. Filming will occur on the event date, with pre-production preparations, including finalizing logistics and testing equipment, completed in advance. Depending on the selected package, raw footage will be delivered within 24-48 hours on a 1TB SSD external hard drive. For packages that include editing or additional deliverables, such as highlight reels or live-stream recordings, the post-production process will take 4 - 8 weeks to ensure a polished and professional final product. Our team will keep you informed every step of the way, ensuring all deadlines are met and your vision is brought to life with excellence.
